Shigeto – “Ringleader”

Here’s another one off Shigeto’s upcoming full-length for Ghostly, No Better Time Than Now, which drops Aug. 20 here in the States. “Ringleader” is a fitting title for the track, because it sounds like the Detroit native is standing at the center of a percussion circle. And as the instrumental progresses, you can sense Shigeto giving his players direction: “More toms!”, “More shakers!”, and so forth. Of course, he’s the one doing all of this and meticulously layering it, so maybe we should be callin’ dude a one-man band from now on.
