Just like Spotify before it, Shazam has revealed the songs its users have listened to the most in the past year. Well, OK, there’s a difference between the two apps, but the similarities in listening habits run deep. It’s also pretty damn disappointing, considering how turrible most of these songs are. What’s slightly redeeming is how much the people at Shazam seem to actually love good music, as their list of artists poised to blow up in 2013 is pretty solid. Well, except for French Montana.
You can peep the most-tagged songs of 2012 below. The numbers you see after each song title is exactly how many times each song was tagged. Below that, you can see Shazam’s 2013 predictions. And always remember: David Guetta is the fucking worst. [via]

Adele gets a pass. That’s it for me.
Many of those are perfectly good pop songs. Just because it’s popular and not indie or unknown by the masses doesn’t make it terrible. Makes your excitement over the “who-the-fuck-are-these-people?” artists in the second list as well as “except for French Montana” unsurprising.
