It’s been a solid year and a half since SBTRKT dropped his fantastic self-titled debut LP and even though he’s kept relatively quiet on the release side of things he’s been a busy man on the live front. Touring as a DJ and a live act with Sampha he’s taken his already awesome set-up and turned it into a refined and engaging performance that a lot of other electronic musicians should strive to match. Seems fitting that with all the work that’s gone into it Young Turks Records will be releasing Live, a 10-track live album out today digitally (here) and on vinyl early next month.
The album was recorded during a London show last October as well as captured on film to translate the full experience of the SBTRKT live show. It’s not another studio LP, but it’s more than enough to tide us over until it does finally come around.
