Satellites is an up-and-coming producer/visual artist based out of Los Angeles. And earlier this summer, he dropped his latest project in Ghost. The nine-track album sounds like what might happen if you dropped a bunch of acid, turned on your Super Nintendo and decided, “Hey, I should make an album based on what it feels like to see this shit.”
That might sound a little absurd, but it’s not easy describing the bright and lush textures of Satellites’ music. There’s a considerable low end, lots of vibrant synthesizers, and just the right amount of erratic drums. I get the feeling this would be incredibly perfect in a live setting with lasers going off around you in a dome of some sort, so Satellites, can we make that happen soon?
Below, you can stream the album and watch a super-rad demonstration of his live show. Purchase the album here.
