“Her Majesty’s Socialist Request” is the low-key rollicking first single off RJD2‘s recently announced album, More Is Than Isn’t, which drops Oct. 8. And to say that there is a lot going on throughout the nearly four-minute track would be a massive understatement. There are layers of hand claps, shouts of “Go!”, a breakdown outfitted with oddball triggered effects followed by a piano solo, and one heavy, persistent bass line. I have no doubt in my mind that this would sound absolutely huge in a live setting, so make sure you see RJ on tour if he’s coming by your town or city.
