River Tiber is 22-year-old Tommy Paxton-Beesley, a producer/singer out of Toronto who blends chilling, layered vocals with metallic production. Think Fyfe without the crisp audio quality and more arena-ready sound. Or maybe even How to Dress Well without so much ethereality to the aesthetic.
I typically hate writing stuff like that, but for someone as new as River Tiber, comparisons can help gain new eyes and ears. And if you consider yourself a fan of stark, blippy instrumentals and pleasing vocal melodies, you’re going to dig his new single/video, “The City”. I’m not really sure what’s going on in the visuals, but they definitely complement the track.
