When Ras G isn’t blowing out speakers with London producer WULU, he’s working on more proper releases for labels like Leaving Records and Brainfeeder. The latter will release the blunted producer’s next project, Back On The Planet, under the guise of Ras G & The Afrikan Space Program. It’s a fitting name given the spaced-out sound on lead single “All is Well…”, which is the kind of song I feel requires, how do you say, some greenery. Or maybe you should just listen to it without any outside noise, be it people around you or the TV. I can’t wait to hear how this fits into the rest of Back On The Planet when it drops Aug. 13.
