The last time Raekwon and Nas collaborated was on the classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx on “Verbal Intercourse”. Nas was rumoured to be on the 2009 follow up Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II but scheduling conflicts prevented it from happening. “Rich And Black” reunites the two lyricists over a Sean C & LV production. The track sounds victorious and the Louis Farrakhan speech snippets work to well to achieve that. It’s great to hear Nas and Raekwon on the same record and even better hearing Nas over dope production. Raekwon’s new album Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang is set to drop next Tuesday you can pre-order on iTunes or Amazon now.

I ain’t going to say much except that this album is sounding crazy so far.
already this album sounds better then his last album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II.
His last album was not that great. the final production was all over the place you didn’t know what type of album you were getting. some tracks were louder then the other and other tracks his voice sounded different. like he recorded in a cheap studio.
this album though has a theme, the production seems to match the theme even though there are different producers.
a problem his last album had.
looking forward to hearing this album.
peace.
