We reported a few weeks back that Frank Ocean was working on some new material. And his plan for at least one of his tracks was to have it appear on the soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, Django Unchained. Alas, not everything has worked out like it should have and Tarantino just released an explanation why. From the sound of if, we’ll all be a lil’ misty when we get to hear the track, whenever that might be.
Read Tarantino’s explanation below:
“Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn’t a scene for it. I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that’s not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn’t want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they’ll realize it then.”
OK, Frank, that means you can release it now! [via]
