I love free stuff. I’m an expert at surfing festivals, job fairs and supermarkets for free stuff. Not sure the lanyard, pen, snus tin count I’ve hustled using my spammy, hepatitis-filled Gmail account, but I’ll never be without a place for my keys, a writing instrument or nicotine fix for the rest of my life. Quantic, UK producer/DJ Will Holland, has had a pretty awesome career. My favorite album Apricot Morning, dropping in 2002, takes break-beat, electronic, trip-hop to a fun, exciting new level–taking the funk meter and raising the bar. Total he has six LP’s, albums, B-side releases to his name. In celebration or of course, promotion (duh) for The Best of Quantic he’s given us, for free, “Transatlantic” an in-your-face horn sampled track. Come on, nothing is ever free anymore.
