We have some ridiculously awesome news to report to y’all today. HipHopDX learned that the god Q-Tip has been very busy lately. In addition to working on music for his upcoming album, he’s been producing music for some heavy-hitters. We’re talking D’Angelo and Kendrick Lamar. Yeah. It’s like that. The Abstract is also working with Ledisi, who just might hop on our radar after we hear whatever they have concocted. Here’s exactly what Tip had to say:
“I’m basically doing a lot of production right now and that’s going really well,” he said. “I’m about to start my new album in the latter part of the summer and it should be out next year, so I’m excited about that. I’ve been excited about music in general, so it’s really good. I’m making music for other people and myself: Kendrick Lamar, D’Angelo, [and] Ledisi.”
