Upon seeing that his good buddy Jay-Z released a new track, “Open Letter“, this morning, Kanye West took to his Twitter hours later to share his thoughts:
Our family Hov brought that real hip hop shit this morning so me and Pusha wanna keep that feeling going
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 11, 2013
“What could this mean?” you ask. “Exactly what you think it does,” I reply. That’s right, Pusha has dropped a fiery new joint of his own, “Numbers on the Boards”, that’s presumably off his upcoming album, My Name Is My Name. I’m not sure who’s behind the beat here but goddamn is it weird/rad. Listen below and be sure to let us know what you think. [via]
Update: It was co-produced by Don Cannon and Kanye West.

That “Rhyme No more” flip midway through the song is fantastic; “mix drug and show money, Biggs Burke on tour “> !!!!

better than anything on wrath of caine
wow. that was refreshing. everything that’s come out of the good music camp since the good friday set has sounded kind of stilted and fussed over. was starting to lose faith in those guys. this track puts pusha’s album back on my map.
