Pusha T – “King Push” [Video]

pusha-t-king-push-videoPusha T‘s solo debut, My Name Is My Name, is just about here. OK, we have to wait until Oct. 8 for it to drop, but still, it feels like he has been talking about his proper first album for years now. To be fair, he has dropped several mixtapes and an EP, but I’ve been holding out on this record to make my final judgment about Pusha as a solo artist.

To get us even more prepared for MNIMN, he has revealed the stylish visuals for the chest-pounding opening track. “King Push” is a declaration, an anthem, a track meant to introduce new listeners and entice longtime fans alike. It’s also produced by Joaquin Phoenix, which is the weirdest thing ever even though the beat is pretty tough. I’ll admit that I only peeped this once, though, because I want to preserve everything for when the album drops.

  1. It’s funny. Ever since the Fear of God mixtape, Pusha T’s music videos have been better art-y music videos than a lot of supposed creative geniuses that rap. I’ll buy the album.

  2. This was hard. Definitely coppin.
