Purity Ring – “Belispeak II” F. Danny Brown

Now this is quite the treat to wake up to, as Danny Brown teams up with Purity Ring for a second take of “Belispeak”. It never hit me the first time around, but this track serves as a rather perfect backing track for Brown to spray. It is a fairly long verse from Brown, and it even comes with an auto-tuned hook to match. Ninety-nine percent of the time Auto-Tune ends disastrously, but I think the Detroit Bruiser pulled it off on this indie anthem. The original “Belispeak” appeared on Purity Ring’s debut Shrines, but we are not sure if this Danny rendition will land on an official project any time soon. We certainly wouldn’t mind more MCs collaborating with Purity Ring, though.
