It appears that two seminal hip-hop acts—Public Enemy and N.W.A—just might make their way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That is, of course, if the some 600 artists, music historians, and members of the HoF vote for the two groups to be inducted. They have some mighty big competition, as the likes of Rush, Deep Purple, Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Randy Newman, Donna Summer, and Kraftwerk are all viable for entry, too. I get the feeling Summer will get a look given her passing earlier this year while, personally, I hope Kraftwerk gets in as soon as possible.
