Pragmatic Theory – Summer In The City [Compilation]

Compilations, mixtapes, playlists, they can all be bundles of serendipity.. It’s a lazy but rewarding way of discovering new music without scouring Soundcloud for the pages of producers from countries you thought disappeared when the Soviet Union fell. We’ve released some of our own here at Potholes, but this one comes to us from Pragmatic Theory, and it’s called Summer In The city.

It’s a good mixture of a few artists that should be familiar to you – like Ta-Ku or Handbook – and some names that look like they belong to rejected Marvel comics characters. But Busta Rhymes and Fruit Loops would look a little weird too if they first popped up in 2012. Maybe the tape being a reference to summer is another sign that we’re all just really behind.
