A month or so ago I (Andrew Martin) began to notice messages on our Facebook and Twitter pages indicating that our submissions email wasn’t working and that emails were being bounced back. This left me feeling discouraged and frustrated. Why? Because we, like plenty of other music blogs, receive an absolutely absurd amount of submissions, live show flyers, random messages, and spam (of course). It gets to the point where we don’t even want to open that email otherwise we’re left feeling, well, overwhelmed.
Recognizing that fact, I reached out to our staff to help put together this new feature that we’re hoping becomes biweekly. For Potholes Submissions Roulette, we basically went through our submissions inbox in a random fashion. Likewise, writers were assigned a song, video, mixtape, beat tape, etc… without knowing anything about who they were going to write about other than what was presented in the email itself. Of course, I had to weed through some spam and concert flyers to narrow down the first five, but you get my point.

yo this is a dope idea but yall need to be way meaner…i saw the description n i thought it would be all stuggle rappers getting deaded
Weenie Hut here.
