Tame Impala quickly became one of my favorite bands of last year with their release, Innerspeaker. After 18 months of touring with the band, members Nick and Jay returned to their home of Perth, Australia to get back together with their old band, Pond. With a solid catalog of albums already recorded, their latest of which being recorded in 2010, it looks like Pond is ready for some action. That 2010 album, called Beard Wives Denim, is slated to finally see the light of day in early 2012 via Modular Recordings. The first taste of that album comes by way of “Fantastic Explosions of Time”, an explosive extension from their work with Tame Impala.
