With just six days to go before the Foreign Exchange’s remix project drops, we’re hearing another cut off the two-disc +FE Music: The Reworks. This time, it’s a brand-new spin on Phonte‘s “Ball and Chain”, which stems from his stellar solo debut, Charity Starts at Home. Producer Sheldon Williams embraces the synthesizers of the Swiff D original and airs them out a bit, creating a more wide-open atmosphere for Tay’s rhymes and harmonizing. There’s also some choice piano lines that work into the mix, adding even more depth to the already-layered backdrop. Listen below.
