Many months ago, in October of 2013, I interviewed a rapper who went by the name of Perrion. The moniker had yet to penetrate my memory log, and I had formed no concrete opinion in regard to the man’s music. In retrospect, I recall a humble and ambitious character who possessed much potential.
Fast forward to May of 2014 and Perrion appears to have only capitalized further on those blatant capabilities. “Game”, the latest single from Perrion that features production from Potholes-approved SERGIOISDEAD, is powerful. Soaring airy samples support the Harlemite rhymer’s rambunctious, rapid deliveries to great effect. Triumphant in tone with an audible grin, the Perrion of today has a whole lot more than just potential.
