Without question, one of the biggest surprises of 2011 came when we heard the self-titled debut of New Zealand hip-hop collective @Peace. Armed with lush production and stellar raps, the album left us dying to hear more from the group. Thankfully, they will return on Feb. 14 with a Valentine’s Day-ready new release, Girl Songs. Our anticipation for that project grew immensely upon hearing lead single, “Cake”, a future-jazz romp filled with lyrics about trying to find love in a world of one-night stands and superficiality.
