Before Los Angeles outfit OverDoz. delivers their proper first album, they’re bringing us the follow-up to 2011’s Live For, Die For. It’s the Boom mixtape, a free release that comes packed with 17 new tracks from the charismatic rappers and their go-to producers that include THC, Iman Omari, and the Futuristiks. Those of you who got hipped to these guys via singles like “Lauren London” and “Killer Tofu” will be glad to hear that they have finally found a home on here. I’m not sure where “Dear God” will end up—did you hear Javis FauX’s remix?—but the material on Boom is strong enough to make me glance over that fact.
