The 15 Best 9th Wonder Beats

9th wonder chain The 15 Best 9th Wonder BeatsIt’s a celebration, y’all. Today (Nov. 13) serves as a huge day for North Carolina’s own 9th Wonder, who releases not one but two albums today. First, there’s The Final Adventure, his aptly titled final collaboration with Murs. The two famously joined forces in 2004 for the still-great Murs 3:16: The 9th Edition and have since recorded a total of five albums together. Additionally, 9th goes behind the boards for a third project with Buckshot, The Solution, which follows up 2008’s The Formula.

But as anyone who follow’s 9th’s career knows full well, he’s been up to much, much more than that. He has his It’s A Wonderful World Music Group imprint, lecturing gigs at several noteworthy universities (including Duke), and an ever-increasing and diversifying production résumé. He’s worked with everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Destiny’s Child to Jay-Z to Chris Brown, to name a few, and continues to flesh out and harness his sound.

And as a means of celebrating 9th’s career, his inspiring work ethic, and, of course, his signature production, we’re taking a look back at our 15 favorite 9th Wonder beats.

Boot Camp Click – Night Riders (Feat. Aaliyah) (9th Wonder remix) should’ve made the list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47cSdcUuNpI, Hiero’s “Make Your Move” (9th Wonder remix) is another winner; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l4JlgUQU0I good list otherwise.

I’m so glad to see that “L.A.” was on your list. It’s one of my favorite beats, too!
