One of our favorite labels, Mello Music Group, released a pretty solid collection of new material last year called Helpless Dreamer to showcase their talented roster, which includes Potholes regulars yU, Oddisee, Apollo Brown, Has-Lo, and others. And one of the album’s highlights was, without a doubt, “Different Now”. The track is a collaboration between Oddisee and Toine, of DTMD. Together, they spit mature, life-reflective lyrics over Oddisee’s soulful, moody production, which sets the tone for the recently released video. The visuals follow the two artists as they chat over breakfast, get their fingers dusty at a record store, and take a quick walk. If nothing else, it might make you a lil’ hungry or it might inspire you to follow their lead this coming weekend. I can think of much worse ways to spend a breezy Saturday.
