We’ve been riding right along with Toronto’s Notes to Self as they get ready to drop their new album, Target Market [Recoil], which drops Feb. 26. And for their latest cut, the group opted to remix a track that they dropped well over a year ago, the Fashawn-assisted “Mr. Polite“. The song finds new legs here thanks to a fuzzy, head-nodding beat from Bronze One and Book.
Bronze and his Notes to Self cohorts, Swamp Donkey and Roshin, were so inspired by the new instrumental that they recorded brand-new verses. That makes this, you know, a legit remix. Although, it just might lead to a third version of “Mr. Polite”, as Fash apparently heard this cut and wanted to spit some new bars, too.
