Ben Lamdin, aka Nostalgia 77, chose to push his very good The Sleepwalking Society by rallying singer Josa Peit, who provides vocals throughout the uber-chill album, to perform some acoustic versions of choice cuts from the record. And here they provide a finger-tappin’ take on “Simmerdown”, which retains its catchiness even without the swoon-worthy production. I recommend holding on to this one until later in the day, such as the early evening when you’re home and ready to grip a glass of red wine.
