Not sure what I think about Necro; Not sure if many people know what to think about the death rap figure. He’s a fantastic producer having made the beat for Mr. MFN eXquire’s “Huzzah!”, which, is arguably the best track on Lost In Translation. But, his raps fall in the category of hit or miss. ‘Hit’ being his 2004 album The Pre-Fix for Death and the ‘miss’ being, well, pretty much everything else.
This video for “TOXSIK WALTZ”, however, is certainly a success. Jay Baruchel stars in it–the skinny guy from Tropic Thunder, “Windows” from Fanboys and a plethora of other sidekick roles. The track is off of Necro’s recently released The Murder, Murder, Kill, Kill EP. The visuals have an odd alien roommate vs. man storyline, but it (strangely) works. Pop open a brew and check it out.
