Over the past few years, members of the Cunninlynguists have embarked on projects outside of the group. Kno released his solo debut, Death Is Silent, back in 2010 and the following year, Deacon the Villain dropped a joint album with Sheisty Khrist, N—az With Latitude. Amid all that, they still found time to record (and put out) their fifth full-length together in 2011, the damn-good Oneirology.
And now, it’s time for Natti to step out on his own with a solo debut of his own. It’s called Still Motion and we’re getting a promising sampling of the effort here in “Architecture”, which is produced by CunninLynguists brethren Deacon the Villain. He employs a bevy of choice samples (or just one that’s chopped-up multiple times?) to provide Natti with a meditative instrumental shared by guests Sha Stimuli and Substantial, both of whom join their host for some thoughts on hip-hop.
You can stream “Architecture” below and pre-order the album on Bandcamp.
