How exactly does one go about remixing a classic tune like Nas‘ “The World is Yours”? Do you try to overhaul the track and give it a modern sound? Or do you embrace the dusty, perfect original’s jazziness? Pac Div‘s Like went the latter route, flipping a Duke Ellington sample to complement the Illmatic classic. I’m still partial to the original, of course, but a complete re-up from Like is starting to sound like a pretty good idea.
