Nas – “Life’s A Bitch” F. AZ (The Legion Of Doom Remix)

Thelonious Martin has flexed his original production muscles for quite a while now, but we haven’t had the chance to listen to too many of his remixes in the past. That all changes today as he teams up with DJ Castle as the Legion of Doom and takes to a classic New York rap track, “Life’s A Bitch”. It is a tough task to tackle, but Castle and Martin do a fine job of extracting the original L.E.S. beat and bringing in a swanky loop of his own. The grit is all there, though, just as it was when Illmatic dropped back in 1994.
