Murs starts, “You ever wish you had amnesia, amnesia? You know, like you could forget….” Yes, my ex-girlfriend, this hairdo I had in high school… Alright, I’m not going to trick you into thinking this song is amazing or even great. But, it’s pretty damn good. My opinion is Murs most relevant ablum was Murs 3:16: The 9th Edition. That dropped in 2004, so it’s been a long run of good cuts and nice verses. So, “Remember 2 Forget” must be telling us that all that crap never happened, right? The girlfriend, hairdo. Well, it’s a step in the right direction. It has slick production by Ski Beatz who floods the background with guitar licks and beautifully sliced vocals. Murs doesn’t suck either, in fact, it’s tight. With Love & Rockets v.1: The Transformation coming out Oct. 11, don’t remember to forget about it.
