Murs & Fashawn – “This Generation” F. Adrian

I’ve been on the fence with Murs the past year or two, but perhaps his upcoming collaboration with Fashawn will change things. With Beatnick & K-Salaam producing their entire album, this might be that mass appeal album they have both been aiming for, without losing any of their underground bearings. It will be tough, but title track “This Generation” is a solid attempt at just that. Featuring Adrian, who sounds a hell of a lot like Colin Munroe, this single has just the right balance of catchy melodies and thoughtful lyricism to win us over for another round.

Murs and Fashawn’s This Generation is due out Sept. 25 and will be produced entirely by Beatnick & K-Salaam.
