We have all our vices, right? You know, those things that you struggle with getting over/rid of in your life but simply can’t? Most of the time, it’s something we’re willingly taking part in, whether it’s a shifty relationship or an overconsumption of alcohol. When it comes to her new video for “Vice,” it’s clear that MoZaic is referring to the former. At least, it becomes apparent when she sings the following on the earworm of a hook: “Your grip on me/ Tight/ I can’t let go/ No/ you are my vice/ I just thought that you should know.” Yeah, good luck not singing that one for the rest of the day—in your head or otherwise.
Also, I have to say I dig the late-night theme of the visuals, because it implies that the vice in question could be any number of things, from staying out too late (too often) to drinking way too much and anything in between. “Vice” itself stems from her latest release, Unexpected Turns, and boasts a sharp guest appearance from MidaZ, who we haven’t heard from in a minute.
