You know those songs that you keep on repeat because they’re so addictive that you pretty much don’t know what else to do with yourself? Well, that’s the “problem” with the latest joint from Mo Kolours. “You (Wailer)” is a deceptively simple listen that bounces along on the backs of hand claps and a steady bass line. But then, there’s Chaka Khan, whose gigantic voice booms through the instrumental backdrop in a number of ways thanks to the chopping talents of Kolours. His approach is to strip it down, mix it around, and layer it just so, and it makes for a track that is incredibly difficult to put down.
