Mista Mista – No Greater Love [LP]

I might hate on my homestate quite a bit on Twitter and elsewhere, but I’m actually ridiculously proud of the hip-hop movement that continues to grow in Rhode Island. And thanks to the web, several talented cats have had their music reach beyond the tiny borders of the state to listeners all over the globe. One of those happens to be Mista Mista, a smooth, lyrical MC with plenty to offer. Whether he’s telling a story or spitting straight bravado, he keeps you listening with his tight delivery. It doesn’t hurt that he’s working with some other talented local acts, such as LJC, Taktix, and Potholes fave Jon Hope. With that, I’m glad Mista Mista is finally offering his latest project, No Greater Love, for free download. I’m a few songs in at this point and let me tell you, don’t pass on this.
