It’s not uncommon for us to come across artists doubling as producers, DJs, and music promoters, but 20-year-old emcee Mir Fontane may be the first we’ve covered that provides comedy on the side of his artistic ambitions. The Camden, NJ-native and former Rutgers student has been honing his lyrical craft for the better part of four years, and with “PAM,” an ode to the television show, “Martin,” he’s able to express what frictionless flow his work has been adding up to. The track exhibits well-placed samples, a perfect background beat, and an incredible tone all wrapped up into one tremendous listen, and we’re looking forward to whatever future material Mir Fontane aspires to offer.
