Hellfyre Club rapper Milo dropped a pair of EPs at the top of the New Year, which I already gushed about. And we premiered the wintry visuals for lead single “Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc” before 2012 came to a close. So it’s only right that we bring you the remix of that same track.
In an attempt to not confuse you, Milo reached out to two producers to tackle the entirety of each of his new EPs. On Things That Happen at Day, each beat is crafted Riley Lake. And on Things That Happen at Night, you only hear the work of Analog(ue) Tape Dispenser. This remix finds Lake reworking ATD’s instrumental for “Post Hoc”, which now has a wavy, slowed-down vibe made for long winter walks.
Here’s what Lake had to say about his remix:
This remix came about when, on my first day back to my home in rural Wisconsin over break, I took a walk and, marveling in the silence that surrounded me, got “taking naps reminds me a whole lot of time traveling” stuck in my head”. For me, this remix is about how thoughts bounce around and echo across one’s consciousness when that space is closed off from external stimuli.
Got it? Good. Now you can stream and/or download the track below. Cop the EPs on Bandcamp.
