Using elements of classical music to create her own blend of pop, Micachu and her band The Shapes, team up with London Sinfonietta to perform a set of brand new tracks. There is really just no messing with this girl. I mean, if you have heard their 2009 album Jewellery, then you would know. And if you checked out the 11-minute documentary for this live LP I am about to tell you a little bit more about, then any doubts you might have had will be completely erased. The live album is called Chopped & Screwed, but it’s far from that southern hip-hop rubbish that you may associate that album title with. Anyway, the album will be released March 28, but they released a fantastically insightful documentary to prep us for such a magical project.
