Micachu and the Shapes made their full-length debut back in 2009 with the stellar indie-pop effort, Jewellery. Last year they followed up with a rather slept on live album, Chopped & Screwed. To our surprise, the trio is now ready to announce their proper sophomore follow up, Never, which is to be released July 24. Along with the announcement, Micachu has joined forces with Kwes for another Kwesachu mixtape, Kwesachu: Mixtape Vol. 2 (the first one dropped back in 2008). Along with these two fine tidbits, we also get word that Micachu and her band will be opening up for tUnE-yArDs on June 1 at Terminal 5 in NYC. Count me in.
