I can’t say I expected this one, as members of Braids, Coma Cinema, Ricky Eat Acid, and Toro Y Moi team up to form Gremlins. And just to clarify, the members of the band include: Patrick Jeffords of Toro y Moi, Katie Lee of Braids, Mat Cothran of Coma Cinema and Sam Ray of Ricky Eat Acid. Apologies to anyone out there that thought Chaz of Toro Y Moi was going to be involved. But with or without him, this is a tasty little five-track treat. The synthesizer appears to be the driving force behind this quartet, and I have to say I am really digging the sleazy sound. [via]
