MeLo-X – “Xtra Drop”

I was properly introduced to MeLo-X after one of our more faithful Potholes readers, afan, asked us to review the rapper-producer’s More Merch project. I had to turn the suggestion down, though, as it had dropped several months prior and it was a free release. But I promised afan that I would at least download More Merch and give it a proper listen. And damn, I’m glad I did. This dude definitely deserves more attention as he’s making some really, really good left field-leaning music that’s infused with hip-hop, soul, and R&B. I’m hoping you’re left feeling inspired upon hearing his latest free offering, “Xtra Drop”, which is his take on Wiley and MJ Cole’s “From The Drop”.
