After Mayer Hawthorne poked fun at Justin Timberlake, it became apparent that Mayer Hawthorne was becoming more active. Today our questions are answers as Hawthorne comes through with a new album announcement for Where Does This Door Go. Along with a fun trailer, we find out that the album is set to feature production from Pharrell Williams, Jack Splash, and Oak (of Oak & Pop). Pretty cool, right?
Not only that, but Mayer describes the sound as “Steely Dan meets the Beastie Boys,” which can mean any number of things. It also appears that the album will be more fun-loving than How Do You Do, as Hawthorne looks to explore new and exciting sounds yet again this time around.
