I am by no means a fan of artists taking old footage and turning it into a their own music video, especially when said artist is signed to a behemoth label like Universal. With that said, Mayer Hawthorne and his latest video for “A Long Time” is absolutely phenomenal. Taking some shots from Detroit’s The New Dance Show hosted by R.J. Watkins (an absolute Soul Train knockoff), we get to peep some of the goofiest dance moves of all time. And with an infectious jam like “A Long Time”, how could you blame them?
