A few days ago the mysterious Burial dropped off the first song of the long-anticipated Massive Attack collaboration with “Four Walls“. That mammoth tune is backed by this one, “Paradise Circus”, on the B-side, which comes courtesy of Mary Anne Hobbs’ stellar XFM show. Much like the previous single, “Paradise Circus” is slow and lurching, filled with the desolate sonics that the UK producer is known for. Burial never treads too far outside his established sound palette, but I dread the day that it ever sounds tired, it still sounds fresh as ever. This one is released on a limited 12″ that’s already sold out, so unless you snagged a copy, the Youtube rips will have to do.
