MarQ Spekt – “Heroin Jonezz” f. Mobonix p. DOOM

After hearing word of DOOM’s collaboration with MarQ Spekt and Mobonix in Madrid, we now get to feast on the final product. With reference to the free jazz movement of many decades ago, this track is meant to represent a free flowing form of hip-hop. I am not sure when we will see Bionic Jazz materialize, but it is nice to see DOOM producing again and branching out a bit.

Bionic Jazz is a freeform hip hop album with a concentration on unorthodox somewhat experimental but wholly organic feel. It’s reminiscent of when jazz musicians would just pick up their instruments and play freely without worrying about the confines of what was the expected norm. This project features various musicians and producers coming together to break down the barriers of today’s current musical atmosphere.
