As you have probably read from me before, I was informed of this young West Coast rapper-producer’s talents last year upon hearing his No Doze mixtape. Opting to spit over a mix of industry and original beats, Makeshift showed a knack for several talents, from obvious rhyming skills to excellent beat selection. I mean, how many rappers do you know that would choose to rap over “75 Bars” aka one of Black Thought’s most vicious performances on the mic? Makeshift then went on to provide us with an exclusive — The Sleepless Beat Tape — to lead into the second volume of No Doze. And it’s sounding like we have another solid mixtape on our hands here, though you knew that if you checked for the two leaks we posted a few weeks back. Those were but a mere sampling for the full course that is the No Doze Vol. 2.
