Madlib’s Release Date for ‘Rock Konducta Vol. 1’ Revealed

We recently reported that Madlib is apparently working on an album with Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) that draws heavily from the sounds of Zambia’s Zamrock music. You know, like Madlib’s latest solo single, “Black Widow“. That track arrived with the news that we’d be hearing an entire album of tunes like that in December, though any further details were scant at best. That was until RBMA found this listing for Rock Konducta Vol. 1 on Piccadilly Records stating that the record has a release date of Dec. 16.

That’s the U.K. date, though, so we should expect it to drop in the States the following day (Dec. 17). I hope. [via]
