Machinedrum – “GBYE” [Video]

So, I’ve heard of epilepsy, which the beginning of this video could trigger. But, there might also be something called audible epilepsy which this track is guilty of. Machinedrum, born Travis Stewart, is a hip-hop, glitch, break beat producer whose spastic nature shows up on “GBYE”. This has to be one of the more colorful, lively, upbeat tracks I’ve come across in a bit. The visuals have Rubik cube inspiration, constantly twisting, turning, changing form into something equally as complex. The music is a puzzle too. It’s filled with layers and new sounds popping up. I can’t imagine the challenge it was, tapping away at the sampler, taking something tangled and creating something that’s clearly, awesome.  [via]

  2. Yeah, didn’t add that to the post, but you’re right Room(s) is nice. However, it doesn’t hold a candle to Bidnezz.
