Signing early to Rostrum Records, Mac Miller has been able to build one of hip-hop’s most successful independent stories. Today the MC has announced that he will be parting ways with the label, although it seems like there are no hard feelings with the decision. [via]

Rostrum is my family. That is forever. No matter what, we will always work together. We moved mountains and I can only see them continuing that tradition. I am grateful for everything I learned and am always here for whatever.
And Rostrum Records founder Benjy Grinberg:
