While I was unable to find out exactly where the latest M.anifest track stems from, I get the feeling we’ll be hearing “More Vim” on his 2011 release, Coming to America: Immigrant Problems. We previously got a preview of his sophomore album when he he dropped off the visuals for “Coming to America” in late October. And now, I’m assuming still, we have the record’s second leak. “More Vim” finds the Ghanaian MC spitting equal parts bravado and autobiographical bars over a jazzy backdrop of acoustic instruments and light brass from producer DJ Juls. I’m curious as to whether or not the entirety of the record will carry this Afrobeat-tinged sound or if M.anifest intends on mixing it up. We’ll find out early next year.
